FADA: Training for the Transformative Action of Women and their Empowerment

Comprehensive program that aims to reverse the unemployment situation among women, favoring labor inclusion in a solid and long-term professional project, introducing them into the technological environment.

It includes a professionalizing and competency-based training itinerary that qualifies them as web developer, and gives them practical resources for their incorporation into the professional field, through workshops and support sessions.

PROFESSIONALIZING TRAINING: Front End Developer and UX Design

400 teaching hours, in blended format (in-person, virtual, and self-learning)

COMPETENCY-BASED TRAINING

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT

Participants have taken workshops that will allow them to learn and practice emotional management tools that contribute to increasing their self-leadership capacity and self-confidence.

JOB SEARCH SUPPORT

In addition to the workshops held throughout the itinerary, they will receive individualized advice to improve their professional profile and finally face a Speed Dating (short interviews) with companies in the sector.

INTERNSHIPS IN COMPANIES

As the final stage of the itinerary, and during the month of October, participants will complete an internship period in companies selected based on the interests of the students and the companies themselves. During the internship period, all students will receive tutoring to ensure that the projects they develop achieve a high-level result with quality guarantees.

Internships will be prioritized from October 9th to 20th, in the mornings, totaling 45 hours. Even so, the students will adapt to the specific needs of the work environment.

Knowledge and skills acquired:

  • WordPress website content management: Manage existing web pages to edit menus, pages, posts, etc.
  • CSS adjustments on existing websites (created with WordPress or other systems)
  • Website creation with WordPress: Install a theme, create menus, add widgets, create the necessary pages and posts.
  • Analysis of HTML content of web pages as support for SEO tasks: Analyze a web page and assess whether the tags are semantically edited correctly.
  • Analysis of HTML content of web pages as support for an accessibility analysis: AAnalyze a web page and semantically evaluate the tags.
  • Web page layout in HTML and CSS: Perform all types of administrative tasks. They have acquired the essential knowledge for the functioning of today’s company (process management, project and objective-based work, international ISO standards, sustainability…).
  • Project management: Possess the necessary knowledge to manage medium-complexity projects, defining tasks, milestones, and carrying out their subsequent monitoring.
  • Participate in product/service design tasks and be part of marketing and sales teams. They have acquired knowledge about quality and excellence, circular economy, eco-designed products, etc. They know how to identify qualifying elements and order-winning elements in a product.
  • Managing client relationships: Empathetic communication with the client, conflict resolution, and mastery of negotiation fundamentals. Identify client needs and expectations.
  • Coordinating work teams: Time management, cooperative work, and results orientation. They have acquired knowledge of neuroscience and social neuroscience that makes them more understanding of behavior and enables them to lead low and medium complexity teams.

SPEED DATING

With the aim of concluding this itinerary with their labor incorporation, a meeting is organized SpeedDating next October, where companies will be able to personally meet the candidates and assess their acquired knowledge with a view to hiring them.

FADA is a program created and developed by the Sant Cugat City Council, with the support of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area within the framework of subsidies to support municipal social policies.
